Car exhaust has long been a concern to people fighting for cleaner air. Now there’s a car that even environmentalists can feel good about. It’s called a hybrid.
Hybrid refers to something made up of two parts that perform basically the same function. Hybrid cars are powered by both a battery-powered electric motor and a gas engine. A computer decides which source to use, so all the driver has to do is buckle up and drive. Better yet, hybrids pollute the air a lot less than other cars — while offering great gas mileage.
