How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
'Maybe you should consider doing something else.' I started out as an engineering major in college working 3 jobs just to survive. I was struggling to keep up with my projects and a professor pretty much said I didn't belong in the department.
How I responded:
The road to achievement is not linear. Understand that sometimes "failures" are born out of circumstances that you cannot have complete control over but never, ever give up. Learn from your experiences and when things seem daunting always choose to follow your passion. Be kind and generous throughout the journey. People will remember you for that. When you've reached a comfortable destination, pay it forward. There will always be someone else that will need your guidance.
