My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I had an interest and aptitude in math.

Studied electrical engineering.

Then I decided I liked product engineering.
4.
Worked for 3 companies as a product engineer.
5.
Then my husband and I started our family and I gave birth to twins.
6.
Then I decided to stay home with my infants.
7.
Then I wanted to return to the workforce and was interested in STEM education.
8.
Then I took a position as an informal educator.

Messages from Teachers:
One of my college advisers told me I would never go to graduate school or find employment. I believe his attitude was a cultural one and he just didn't understand women in engineering fields.
How I responded:
You will always have critics and sometimes the things you work the hardest for will be your greatest joys in accomplishing.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I was very afraid to ask for help in college and probably wasted time in not reaching out for help. I became better in finding help, especially from my peers in school
