In college, I thought I wanted to be a medical missionary.
3.
After spending a month with a medical missionary in Haiti, I knew it wasn't for me.
4.

5.
Decided I would rather do medicine instead of psychology, but not as a missionary.

How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
You have an undergraduate degree from a Bible college. Why do you want to work in corporate finance/IT now?
How I responded:
As you learn more about yourself and more about the variety of different career options open to you, sometimes that means you change your mind. That's a good thing! Some people don't have the ability to adapt like that, or they're afraid to move in a new direction. Don't ever feel like you're limited by your past decisions. What matters most is what you've learned from those experiences and that you're willing to do what it takes to get to where you want to be now.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I have 3 college degrees, and college is expensive. Had to work through school and take out a lot of loans.
