My path in life has been direct
1.
I took a job for a small staffing company just randomly and that set the path for me.
2.
I left and went to a larger staffing company. I learned more and had more responsibilities.
3.
I transitioned into a corporate recruiting position.
4.
I spent time learning more around broader Human Resources while becoming a better recruiter.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Family:
You need to move up faster and make more money.
How I responded:
I just do what I want and am not too concerned with what others want for me. In the end, it's your road, not theirs.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Staffing roles do not pay a lot for the amount of work you do. It eventually gets better going to corporate.
I was the first in my family to get a college degree which has been required for most of the jobs I've had and ultimately created more options for me.
