My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I got a job calculating costs of manufacturing.
2.
Someone found out I 'did programming' so I was moved.
3.
I went to work in Government Security Services and got shipped to California.
4.
I came back to the UK and designed an Avionics Computer - FROM SCRATCH!
5.
Then I worked for a contractor automating steel works - BIG robots.
6.
Then I became a journalist for a few years.
7.
Then I headed up the European Multimedia Centre in London.
8.
Then I worked as an EU consultant at Limerick University.

I just carried on, I found a Saturday job and bought components on the way home so no one would object.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Did a sandwich course, which meant I spent some time in industry earning 'food money'.
It is quite common that to truly make a difference you have to walk a path that is brand new. To do this will often seem impossible, but by taking all the pieces that make up you, you will find a way.
It was a change of environment, surroundings and friends. Joining obscure sports teams and societies let me meet like minded people.
