I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
The day I turned 16, I went to the Department of Motor Vehicles, took and passed my drivers test.
2.
Prior to that, I drove with my dad as much as I could to get comfortable.
3.
While growing up on a farm I learned to drive large vehicles.
4.
When I got married, my husband taught me how to drive and back up a pickup and boat trailer.

How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Myself:
My junior year of high school, I apply for business college in Portland and scheduled a visit with my parents and college representative. When the visit was over, my parents said, "we don't think you will be successful" and that has been my mantra since.
How I responded:
I have struggled with this all my life. I have decided to make the best of my life, because it is my life. I am smart and worthy of an education.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I am single and have a minimal wage job.
I have ADD and some problems reading for comprehension.
I have struggles with the addiction of gambling, which has depleted my resources many times over. SELF Sabatoge.
My mom went to college to become a tax professional later in life. But really none of my siblings have gone to college.
