How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
You should go to a university or nice fancy college like your cousins. Why don't you go to university instead of a trade school? Why don't you get a steady job that pays salary? You need to get a job so that you have something to fall back on.
How I responded:
What I told them in return was that this is my life and this is my career which is something that I'm going to be doing for the rest of my life. I don't do it for the money I do it because it's what I like doing.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I definitely grew up in a less fortunate family. We never had a lot of money especially not enough to put anyone in a nice University without some kind of scholarship. Sometimes we even had trouble putting food on the table but we got through.
