Life & Career Milestones
My path in life has been direct
1.
First I was a patient at the age of 12 for a complete dislocated hip and traction for one week.
2.
Developed an appreciation for the nurses that took such good care of me.
3.
After a week of traction, one year of crutches, and two surgeries.
4.
I decided that I wanted to pass along the care that I received.
5.
I have loved biological sciences and am good at helping people capitalize on strength and weakness.
6.
I knew that I could make a difference in helping people.
7.
So I resolved to study nursing from this age.
8.
I have been doing it since 1995 without a blink, I am doing what I am supposed to be doing.

How I responded:
I have to confess, I caved, but it didn't matter because I knew from a young age that this is what I was going to do. That vision never got deterred. You can have curve balls but if you know what is on the inside is solid, it will prevail.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Finding a support person and learning when to tune out the noise can be difficult when it is your own family. I prayed for strength from God and my pastor was a huge source of support for me, providing non judgmental guidance.
