Life & Career Milestones
I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
I grew up on the Flathead Reservation in northwest Montana, where both my culture and education were emphasized as very important.
2.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in human services and then went on to earn an MBA.
3.
I built my career working in many different industries, including working as an accountant for a tribal college and working in philanthropy for other nonprofit organizations.
4.
Ultimately I landed at my dream job as CEO of Native Forward Scholars Fund, where I get to fulfill my passion of empowering Native scholars so they can go out and do whatever they want in the world.
Defining Moments
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
My mom only finished eighth grade and my dad finished high school, so I didn't really have anyone to help me navigate college or grad school. That's part of the reason that I'm so passionate about helping students now.
