I work at home and my days begin at about 6am. I get up, take a shower, do my makeup, and get dressed for my day. I get recordings sent to me and it’s my job to enter the file information into the database, route the audios to the transcriptionists, who have a set turnaround time to transcribe the files and send the files back for me to proofread, or in my business we call it QA for Quality Assurance, and send the files back to the clients.


Tasks & Responsibilities May Include

  • Perform other clerical duties, such as answering telephone, sorting and distributing mail, running errands or sending faxes.
  • Check completed work for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and format.
  • File and store completed documents on computer hard drive or disk, or maintain a computer filing system to store, retrieve, update, and delete documents.
  • Print and make copies of work.
  • Transmit work electronically to other locations.
